 Peter M. FischerPete joined the firm in 2010.Pete is a native of Sturgis, South Dakota.He attended the University of South Dakota and receivedhis Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management in 2007, graduating summa cum laude with University Scholar distinction.Pete continuedhis education at the University of South Dakota, receiving both his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees in May of 2010.While at the University of South Dakota, Pete was active in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, Corporate and Business Law Association, and Student Government.Pete’s practice areas emphasize creditor rights, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, collections, loan documentation, and general banking law.In 2012, Pete called to inform us that he was moving to work for a firm in the Rapid City area.  When we know more we will update this information.

 Lindsey Quasney graduated from law school in 2010.  She was first hired as a clerk for the first judicial circuit.  Lindsey Quasney then took a positions as a Deputy Attorney General prosecutor in the Rapid City office.

 Jenny Winterfeld joined the Klay Law firm in 2012 as an associate and practices out of the Orange City office.  The Klay Law Firm is a general practice firm handling a variety of legal matters, including both litigation and transactional cases, with an emphasis in the areas of real estate, business organization, corporate law, municipal law, estate planning, agricultural law, elder law, general and commercial litigation, Plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, domestic relations, juvenile law and adoptions. The firm’s mission is to offer high quality, affordable legal services to its clients throughout the Northwest Iowa region.

Since Law School, George Hawkins found a home at the Green, Roby, Oviatt, Cummings & Linngren LLP Firm in Watertown SD.  He left that firm and he and his wife moved to Sioux Falls, SD when last I heard he splits his time as a part-time teacher and with the Piersol & Billion, LLP law firm.
Summer Extern 2005;   Hired as a Legal Assistant 2006;    Deputy State’s Attorney after passing the bar 2006; Carole James - Summer Extern - Legal Assistant - Deputy State's Attorney  Carole Kampfee James  Carole Kampfee who is now married and goes by Carole James worked at Union County as a part-time Deputy State’s Attorney immediately upon passing the SD Bar exam.  The Minnehaha County State’s Attorney’s Office quickly picked Carole James as a Deputy State’s Attorney working in their Juvinel Court Division.  Carole James is now a Senior Deputy State’s Attorney with that office.
